Harness Masters

Harness building

Harness building means preparing the heddle and spring set for a specific loom and fitting it. Our team visits your mill, sees the loom on site, plans the harness and fits it. The survey is free.

Frequently asked

About harness building

All questions (18) →
Is the harness proposal free?

Yes. Tell us the job and the loom. If needed we visit your mill to see the loom, and the survey is free too.

What is a jacquard harness?

On a jacquard loom, the harness carries the jacquard’s decision down to each warp end; its parts run from the module to the heddle. The same jacquard needs a different harness for different work.

Why does the warp keep breaking?

Not every warp break starts with the yarn. Heddle eyes, spring balance, worn parts and the comber board layout are where to look in the harness when breaks go up. Many warp breaks start at the eye: if the inside is rough or the shape is off, the yarn rubs on every pick until it breaks.

Can I get a sample?

Yes. If needed we make a sample first; you try it on the loom and we start the order once you approve.
